ima employee relief fund

As we all wait for the next news reel, COVID-19 has been escalating in Michigan and the rest of the United States. Due to the rapid spread of the virus, Governor Whitmer has ordered a shut-down of all Michigan restaurants and bars, except for carry-out, for two weeks. Unfortunately, this abrupt decrease in restaurant sales has rapidly depleted our reserves and left us with the difficult decision to lay off all of our hourly staff.

Between Ima’s 3 locations we employ over 100 dedicated staff members. Our core culture is that of family and respect amongst our teams, and we feel that we are stronger if we take efforts to take care of each other. Despite our team’s best efforts over the last week, we find ourselves facing the possible reality of a complete shutdown due to loss of revenue. With this reality on the horizon, we are reaching out to our amazing metro-Detroit community for help in supporting our staff while in need.

By donating to Ima’s staff relief fund, 100% of your money will go directly to the non-salary staff members and their families. We know that this crisis has affected everyone, so even the smallest of donations is GREATLY appreciated. Your generosity will make an incredible impact on our staff's lives and their ability to sustain themselves and their families during this period.

Please be safe and continue to take care of one another, near and far. We look forward to seeing you all on the other side of this crisis

With love and gratitude,

The Ima restaurant family
