- My name is Fatima Ramirez, and I'm based in Arizona, USA. I'm reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea for support on behalf of my dear friend, Yahia, who lives in the war-torn region of northern Gaza, Palestine. Here is Yahia's message to the world:
Hi, my name is Yahia Al-Wadiah, as a 23-year-old from northern Gaza, I've witnessed the devastation of war firsthand. My home was destroyed twice in the 2014 conflict and now 2024, leaving me and my family of ten, including my brother's children, without shelter. Despite facing death numerous times and enduring besiegement, I continue to document the struggles of my community for Al-Mayadeen channel. The loss of close friends and shattered dreams serve as constant reminders of the toll of conflict in our region. Currently residing in a shelter center, I worry about the safety of my family with no place to call home.
God willing if I shall live, I hope to rebuild a home for me and my family along with the surviving community to make Gaza once again our home and to try to rehabilitate ourselves and our future and this will not be possible without your help.
