Hi everyone, my name’s Lewis Brown, and on 21st March 2026 I’ll be taking on one of the toughest challenges I’ve ever faced on a mountain bike.
I’m attempting an “Everesting” challenge, riding the equivalent height of Mount Everest (8,880 metres) in a single ride. That means climbing the same hill over and over again until I’ve gained the full elevation of Everest. I’ll be doing it on my normal enduro mountain bike, and I’m aiming to finish in under 24 hours.
I’ve chosen to take this on at Cannock Chase, tackling around 116 laps of the infamous Upper Cliff climb on the Monkey Trail. Cannock Chase is where I first fell in love with mountain biking, and it’s still where I ride today, so it only feels right to take on this challenge there. I’ll be starting at 10am, so if you’re local, come down, ride a lap or two, or just shout some encouragement!
Most importantly, I’m doing this to raise money for a local Dogs Home.
If you know me, you’ll know how much I love dogs. It genuinely breaks my heart to see so many stuck in kennels waiting for a second chance. All three of our recent dogs have come from rescue Dogs Homes, and they’ve brought so much happiness and love into our lives. Without the work this charity does, families like mine wouldn’t have found such incredible companions.
Every donation no matter how small will help provide food, shelter, medical care, and a chance at a better life for dogs who deserve it. I’d love to think that this challenge could make even a small difference in helping the dogs home continue their amazing work and give these dogs the care and love they need.
If you’re able to donate, share, or simply support in any way, it would mean the world to me and to the dogs who benefit from it.
Thank you so much ❤️
