Hi, I’m Sibby. Those of you who know me know I love a cold dip! So I’ve signed up for the Great North Swim this year, which takes place in Lake Windermere on Saturday 13th June. I am taking on this challenge to raise some money for the wonderful Chevin Academy in Belper, where I work. We help students aged 16-25 with Special Educational Needs, who may have faced additional challenges during their time at school, to get the skills they need to progress in work and life. Any donations will go towards the purchase of an oven for our kitchen, so that we can do some cooking with our students to help build their independence as they move into adulthood.

Ten years ago I completed the 1 mile Great North Swim in exactly 52 mins 52 seconds - if I can do it in under an hour again I’ll be very pleased, especially since I’m a decade older!

Anything you can donate, however small, will be greatly appreciated.
