I’m swimming 5 miles to help the American Cancer Society (ACS) fight for a world without cancer. This is a very meaningful cause for me. In February 2024, my mother Sharon was diagnosed with Angiosarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer that starts in the endothelial cells that line the walls of blood vessels or lymphatic vessels. In June 2024, Mom underwent an all day surgery at Jefferson hospital in Philadelphia to remove areas on her scalp and neck. It was a hard and painful road to recovery, but she is doing well and continuing her immunotherapy treatments in Washington Twp., NJ.
I hope this fundraiser encourages Mom and helps us get closer to one day living in that cancer-free world the ACS is working hard to create.
ACS holds top ratings from Charity Navigator, the Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance, and Candid. So give with confidence! Please consider donating because every little bit helps.
