Hi, first of all, I want to say that I hate to ask for help like this; I'm sure a lot of people hate to ask for help like this. But we've all struggled at some point and I'm there. I've reached my wit's end. I'm in a horrible position and I have been doing all I can but I have to move by the end of June and I have no money. Here's what happened;
At the end of January, my job cut a significant amount of workers and I was included in the layoff.
Quickly following the layoff I submitted for unemployment, but I've had a problem with it. For five months now I've been applying for jobs, I've been pulling my hair out trying to get hired and bounce back. Besides that, you are required to do work search tasks to get benefits for the week. But I have been paid a total of one time from unemployment in the five months I've been searching for work and submitting tasks. A total of $173 in 5 months. I just have a pending issue for every week I've submitted. When I click on the pending issues it doesn't specify what it is and I can't seem to get a hold of anyone on the phone to explain what's going on. This isn't uncommon, if you Google Colorado unemployment pending issues you'll find that others have had this problem as well and some never got the problem resolved.
My bank account is in the negatives now, from phone bills and such coming out, but now I can't even pay that because of my situation.
My current landlord has been an absolute saint and allowing me to do work around the house and help with things in exchange for living space but she is pregnant and needs me to be moved out by the end of June so that they can start moving forward with the room space for their family. She's been super lenient with me already and allowed me to stay a month longer than she originally intended while I look for work but she really needs me to move out soon since the baby will be due, and I don't want to be in their space when they need to prep any longer, either.
I'm trying to save up to keep my phone active so that I can be available if I get a response from job offers, and also trying to save up for a new place. I'm looking for prospective rooms for rent but a lot of them are asking for both first month's rent + deposit and I just don't have that right now due to my circumstances. Please, really, anything helps right now. I'm seriously just at my wit's end.
