Hi everyone,

In April 2026 I’ll be taking on the Schneider Electric Paris Marathon.

It’s been a lifelong dream of mine to run a marathon, but I’m not doing it just for the miles. I’m running to make a difference by raising money for Alzheimer’s Research UK. I’m trying to raise money for the one million people living with dementia in the UK today. The first treatments that can slow Alzheimer’s disease are now on the horizon, and every donation will help drive the search for a cure.

Sadly, I lost my gran earlier this year to this illness, therefore I’ll be running in her memory.

Although I’ve always been sporty, running a marathon is on another level. To make it even more meaningful, I’ve set myself the ambitious target of completing it in under 3 hours and 10 minutes.

En avril 2026, je vais courir le Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris.

C’est un rêve de longue date pour moi de courir un marathon, mais je ne le fais pas seulement pour les kilomètres. Je cours pour faire une différence, en récoltant des fonds pour l’Alzheimer’s Research UK. Je souhaite contribuer à la recherche pour le million de personnes qui souffrent actuellement de démence au Royaume-Uni. Les premiers traitements capables de ralentir la maladie d'Alzheimer sont désormais en vue, et chaque don permettra de faire avancer la recherche vers un traitement curatif.

Malheureusement, j'ai perdu ma grand-mère cette année à cause de cette maladie. Je courrai donc en sa mémoire.

Même si j'ai toujours été sportif, courir un marathon reste un défi d'un autre niveau. Pour rendre ce défi encore plus significatif, je me suis fixé l'objectif ambitieux de terminer la course en moins de 3 heures et 10 minutes.
