I’m taking on a 33-Mile Teal Pumpkin Run Challenge this October to support people with life-threatening food allergies.
Our now 2 year old son reacted to peanut when he was 7 months old and egg when he was 10 months old. As a family, we are navigating the challenges and fears that come with food allergy diagnosis and we are committed to working through his allergies with the support of research based care options, such as oral immunotherapy.
We are eternally grateful for the support and guidance of our clinical care team at Mass General Brigham for Children. Our Allergists introduced us to the resources of FARE (Food Allergy & Education), a fantastic organization that funds and engages in research, education and advocacy efforts.
The 33-Mile Teal Pumpkin Run Challenge for FARE will help with vital funding while raising awareness for both the work of FARE and the needs of those with food allergies.
FARE funds groundbreaking research that moves us closer to better treatments and, one day, a cure. They also provide life-saving education and resources so schools, restaurants, and communities can protect people at risk.
Please join me in supporting FARE this October.
