In remembrance of María Victoria “Vicky” Herrera

Dear friends and family,

With a heavy heart we share that Vicky left us on September 9th 2021 at 10:53 pm.

On August 17th she was taken to South Miami Baptist Hospital due to her low oxygen levels. After fighting for 23 days like the warrior she was and after facing some complications, she is now resting in heaven. We believe in the midst of this confusion and pain that God will provide us all with the strength needed. She left behind three amazing men, her two children, Daniel Quevedo and Mathews Arroyave and her husband Ruben Rodriguez.

We are deeply devastated by her passing. Vicky impacted everyone around her in the best way possible. She was an amazing mother even to those who were not her children. She was an amazing leader and a helping hand to those in need. She will always be remembered and hold a huge place in our hearts. We are left feeling empty but will cherish and hold dearly all the memories she left us with.

On behalf of her family we want to thank everyone that has been reaching out and praying for us. We see all your messages and are deeply touched by all the support and love we have been shown during this difficult and challenging time.

We hate to ask but the family is struggling to find the funds to cover the cost of everything moving forward.

Queridos amigos y familia,

Con el corazón roto compartimos que Vicky nos dejó el 9 de septiembre de 2021 a las 10:53 pm.

El 17 de agosto fue trasladada al South Miami Baptist Hospital debido a sus bajos niveles de oxígeno. Después de luchar durante 23 días como la guerrera que fue y luego de enfrentar algunas complicaciones, ahora está descansando en el cielo. Creemos en medio de esta confusión y dolor que Dios nos dará a todos la fortaleza necesaria. Dejó atrás a tres hombres increíbles, sus dos hijos, Daniel Quevedo y Mathews Arroyave y su esposo Rubén Rodríguez.

Estamos profundamente devastados por su fallecimiento. Vicky impactó a todos a su alrededor de la mejor manera posible. Fue una madre asombrosa incluso para aquellos que no eran sus hijos. Ella era una líder increíble y una mano amiga para los necesitados. Ella siempre será recordada y ocupará un lugar muy importante en nuestros corazones. Nos sentimos vacíos, pero apreciaremos con mucho cariño todos los recuerdos que ella nos dejó.

En nombre de su familia, queremos agradecer a todos los que se han acercado y orado por nosotros. Vemos todos sus mensajes y estamos profundamente conmovidos por todo el apoyo y el amor que se nos ha mostrado durante este momento difícil y desafiante.
