I will be running a half marathon on Sunday the 17th of August to raise money for the Azaylia Foundation.

Azaylia’s Story

Safiyya & Ashley's daughter Azaylia lit up the world with her strength, her spirit, and her courage.

She inspired people across the globe.

Her journey through cancer was incredibly difficult and…

● It showed us how few treatment options exist for children.

● How deeply underfunded childhood cancer research is.

● And how little awareness there is, until it’s your child.

Losing our baby at just 8 months old was the hardest time in our lives. But even in that heartbreak, we knew we had to act.

The Azaylia Foundation was created not just out of pain, but out of love and purpose:

● To honour her fight

● To turn our pain into something powerful

● And to make sure no other family faces what we did alone

Our mission

The Azaylia Foundation exists to change a system that has been failing children for far too long.

Our mission focuses on three core goals:

● Funding new talent and research across prevention, early diagnosis, and access to treatment

● Raising awareness and driving national conversation, because this issue is still too invisible, and our children deserve more than 3%

● Supporting families financially who are accepted into treatments not funded by the NHS

Since launching in 2021, we’ve donated over £1.3 million to research, talent, and equipment for childhood cancer, and helped more than 15 families access critical treatment not available through the NHS.

One of our proudest initiatives is our PhD Fund, which supports the next generation of paediatric cancer researchers.

This is where long-term, life-saving change begins.

Our Goal

So far, we’ve committed to funding 7 PhDs.

Our goal is to reach 20 in 5 years.
