Hi, I’m Ilyas and im fundraising for my 1st cousin Mr. Syed Mazahir Ali who was recently robbed and physically assaulted by a group of 3 masked men around 1 am on Saturday night. He was left with a wounded forehead, and physically injured very badly.

Mazahir had recently moved to Chicago from Hyderabad, India as a student to pursue his education of Masters degree in Business administration.

In the early hours of Saturday when Mazahir was returning home around 1 am, 3 masked men chased him on foot and physically injured him after robbing him of his wallet, phone and car keys. Since the event, Mazahir has been deeply disturbed and is mentally unstable requiring more physical, emotional and moral support.

His family back home includes a wife and 3 young kids who wish a speedy recovery. However, the doctor has advised bed rest for the next few weeks and he is in need of financial support to continue his education. I’m hoping this ask will relieve some of his financial burdens given his current inability to work.
