Imagine dedicating every day since the age of 12 to pushing your limits, driven by a dream that burns brighter than any obstacle.

This is the journey of Sabina, a rising star in water polo.

Sabina grew up in Montréal, where every pool was her playing ground. She started off watching the games of her twin brothers as a baby, and walked her first steps in the pool hallways.

Being raised by a single mother of 3 high-performing athletes provides a lot of challenges, especially financially. Despite limited resources, Sabina has a fire in herself to be the best at everything she does, school or sports.

Committed to countless early morning and late night practices, she’s never missed a training session or a game in the past 2 years since her goal became clear: “I’m going to play in the Olympics!”

At the beginning of the 2024-2025 season, she said: “I will be on the U15 National Team!”.

6 months later, she received the invitation from Water Polo Canada to join the National Cadet U15 A-team as one of the 14 best athletes of her age in Canada!

Despite all her travel and training, she continues to persevere in her academics and has always been a straight-A student, aiming for the top.

2025 is her first year as an athlete on a National level, so no funding or other support has been received thus far. To take the next leap in her career, Sabina needs this opportunity to compete at an international level in the future.
