Hi, my name is Harry and in July 2027, once I have completed my GCSEs, I am going on a one month expedition with my school to Kenya.

When I arrive in Kenya, I will be going on a safari to hopefully spot the Big 5, to support the environmental and wildlife conservation projects, and trekking to the summit of Mount Kenya.

Aside from this, and most importantly, I will be working within the local village community, to help with the construction of houses and schools. I will be able to learn skills from local tradespeople at the same time as I am helping to provide shelter and education for those who currently don't have it. I am hoping I will be able to teach the local school children my two favourite sports, football and cricket, whilst learning their local language of Swahili.

The teamwork, building and cultural skills I will learn and develop from this once in a lifetime opportunity will stay with me forever, as I embark upon my life journey into the world of construction and carpentry.

I am hoping to raise approximately £2000 towards my travel and necessary kit to ensure I can safely fulfil my goals to support and embrace this cultural opportunity, and to document my work and special memories for years and family to come.
