I’m George’s Mate

Donation protected
On the 4th June, George attempted to take his own life by hanging. We found him and started CPR until the Ambulance and Air Ambulance arrived. George was airlifted to James Cook Hospital where he is currently in ITU fighting for his life. George is making small positive steps but still has a long journey ahead.

We have set up a charity called ‘I’m George’s Mate’ to raise awareness of poor mental health in teenagers and young adults.

We are raising funds to train young people in suicide and mental health awareness so they can go into schools, colleges and around the community to support young people and get them talking.

Charity Number: 1205135

This year 3 of us (George’s Mum, Fin, George’s friend and one of George’s sisters ) are taking part in the Great North Run to raise funds for I’m George’s Mate.
Please support us if you can.
