Help My Brother Jose Fight for His Life After a Tragic Shooting

Hi, my name is Samantha, and I’m fundraising for my older brother, Jose Andres.

A few months ago, our lives changed forever. Jose was in the wrong place at the wrong time when gunfire broke out near him. He was struck in the back of the neck, a collateral victim as proven by authorities.

That single moment left him quadriplegic, with severe cervical spinal cord injuries. He is now unable to move or care for himself, and he is fighting every day just to stay alive.

My brother is currently in Ecuador, where medical resources are extremely limited. Hospitals often do not have basic supplies, so our family is constantly responsible for buying his medication, medical equipment, and daily care items out of pocket.

We simply cannot keep up with the costs. Our family’s income is low, and in our country, there is very little support for people with disabilities. Every day, we fear that he will not receive what he needs in time.

Why I’m Asking for Help

Jose has always been a loving and selfless brother, someone who sacrificed for us without hesitation. I’m asking from the bottom of my heart.
