I’m Building a Space for Us All

Hi, I’m JJ — a visual artist and entrepreneur based in Brooklyn, New York. I’m raising funds to open my very first storefront for my small business, Curiously Yours.

Curiously Yours is more than a vintage shop. It’s a dream I’ve nurtured to create a vibrant, welcoming space that blends sustainability, creativity, and community. I envision it as a home for thoughtfully curated secondhand pieces and as a gathering place where people can connect, create, and express themselves freely.

Right now, I host art workshops — but the biggest challenges I face are high rental costs and the constant need to travel from place to place. These barriers make it hard to consistently offer the kind of support and creative programming that I know our community craves and deserves.

Opening a storefront would allow me to plant roots — not just for my business, but for the community I serve. With this space, I’ll be able to hold regular workshops, events, and open studio sessions that are accessible and inclusive. I want Curiously Yours to be a fixture in Brooklyn: a space where folks feel seen, inspired, and empowered.
