Hello, my name is Robbie Whinnery. I am 63 years old. I'm a Coast Guard Auxiliary Veteran. In 2012, I was diagnosed with Melanoma Carcinoma inside my mouth. I had three unsuccessful surgeries. The doctor tried to remove the cancer from my lip, but unfortunately it had spread further into my jaw bone. In 2013, I went through twenty-five unsuccessful radiation treatments in Sedona, Arizona. In 2016, my jaw (mandible bone) was taken out due to it being dead which caused a severe heart attack and stroke. I had two stints placed in my heart. In 2019, I lost everything financially and emotionally due to the cancer treatments. I was forced into homeless. For 3 years I tried to get treatments at the Mayo clinic, but they would not accept my insurance. I finally got accepted at the Banner Anderson Cancer Center in Gilbert, Arizona. I had a pick line installed in my heart to try to kill the infections. I was given five doses of antibiotics five times a day for five weeks. I believe that I am here by the grace of God. My dream is to buy a sailboat and sail from California to the Channel Islands. I hope to name my future boat after my mother Norma Gene and bring my brother along with me. The song 'I am Blue for You' gives me hope that my dream will come true. Unfortunately at this time, I am homeless, looking for work, and in need of some help. I believe God has a plan for me and this is just the beginning of my dream come true. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
