I'm about to get into Harvard!

Dreams do come true and I am close to achieve one of them.

 

Hello! My name is Alexander Romero, I am a Physician, graduated from UDO Núcleo Bolívar, I am currently doing a Diploma in Clinical Neuroanatomy at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, and I was recently accepted to participate in the Program of Practice and Principles of Clinical Research (PPCR), from Harvard University.

 

The idea of ​​participating in the program was a dream that I thought was impossible, but I never stopped trying. So I decided to apply anyway and with a lot of faith I got selected. The fact of being accepted into a Harvard Clinical Research Program represents a great achievement, not only for me, but also for all physicians who are training in a country with a health system in crisis.

 

Unfortunately in our country, the economic crisis has affected different aspects of life, including professional training and investment in research projects related to the health area. Participating in this program will provide me with great knowledge and skills that will allow me to apply them in my community and so I can be able to help others as well. In this program I will learn various aspects for the design and interpretation of clinical researches and aspects of methodology and statistics, as well as it will give me the opportunity to be part of an international network of clinical researchers from all around the world.

 

For me it would be a great honor and a huge responsability to represent Venezuela at such a prestigious University as Harvard. But for this to be possible, I need your help for paying the tuition fees.

 

The program has a cost of $ 5,250 USD (the campaign is made in Canadian dollars), and the deadline to formalize the registration and make the payment is December 31st of this year. It would hurt me a lot to lose this great opportunity because I could not raise the money on time.

 

There are no small donations in order to fulfill this big dream. Every contribution is extremely valuable to me and will allow me to make all of this possible. Help me to achieve it and materialize this opportunity.

Los sueños sí se cumplen y estoy cerca de cumplir uno de ellos.

 

¡Hola! Mi nombre es Alexander Romero, soy Médico Cirujano, egresado de la UDO Núcleo Bolívar, actualmente me encuentro realizando un Diplomado de Neuroanatomía Clínica de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, y recientemente fui aceptado para participar en el Programa de Principios y Práctica de Investigación Clínica (PPCR), de la Universidad de Harvard.

 

La idea de participar en el programa era un sueño que creía imposible, pero en ningún momento dejé de intentarlo. Así que decidí aplicar de todas maneras y con mucha fe logré quedar seleccionado. El solo hecho de haber sido aceptado en un Programa de investigación clínica de Harvard representa un gran logro, no solo para mí, sino también para todos lo médicos que se encuentran formándose en un país con un sistema de salud en crisis.

 

Lamentablemente en nuestro país, la crisis económica ha afectado diversos aspectos de la vida, incluyendo la formación profesional y la inversión en proyectos de investigación relacionados al área de la salud. Participar en este programa, me brindará de grandes conocimientos y herramientas que me permitirán aplicarlas en mi comunidad y así poder ayudar a otros también. En este programa aprenderé diversos aspectos para el diseño e interpretación de investigaciones clínicas y aspectos de metodología y estadística, así como también me brindará la oportunidad de formar parte de una red internacional de investigadores clínicos en diversas partes del mundo.

 

Para mí sería un gran honor y orgullo poder representar a Venezuela en una Universidad tan prestigiosa como Harvard. Pero para hacer esto posible, necesito de su ayuda para poder costear la matrícula.

 

El programa tiene un costo de $5.250 USD (la campaña está en Dólares Canadienses), y la fecha límite para formalizar la inscripción y realizar el pago es el 31 de diciembre de este año. Me dolería mucho perder esta gran oportunidad por no poder recaudar el dinero a tiempo.

 

Ninguna donación es pequeña para poder cumplir este gran sueño. Cada aporte es sumamente valioso para mí y me permitirá a hacer todo esto posible. Ayúdenme a lograrlo y así materializar esta oportunidad.
