A Father’s Battle: Fighting Cancer for My Baby Girl
Hi everyone,
My name is Diego Gomez, and I never thought I’d be sharing something like this. This year has brought me both the greatest joy and the hardest challenge of my life.
On March 14, 2025, I became a father to a beautiful baby girl. The moment I held her in my arms, I felt a kind of love and purpose I had never known before. I was so excited to watch her grow, to be there for her first words, her first steps — everything.
But only a few months later, on October 20, 2025, my world came crashing down. I was diagnosed with stage 3 stomach cancer. Hearing those words felt like the ground disappeared beneath me. My first thought wasn’t about myself — it was about my daughter. I just want to be there for her, to see her grow up and give her the life she deserves.
The treatments have been tough — physically, emotionally, and financially. Between hospital visits, medications, and being unable to work, the bills are piling up. I’m doing everything I can to stay strong and keep fighting, but it’s hard to do it alone.
That’s why I’m humbly asking for your help. I’m trying to raise $20,000 to cover my medical expenses and to make sure my family can stay afloat while I focus on getting better.
If you can donate — even a small amount — it would mean more than I can ever put into words. And if you can’t donate, sharing this page would still be an incredible help.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story, and for being part of my fight to beat this disease and be here for my little girl.
With love and gratitude,
Diego Gomez
