Hi, my name is Rakan and I’m raising funds to help my 8 years old cousin to live life as a normal kid, I live in Canada and my cousin lives in Amman, jordan. He was diagnosed with hemophilia at birth, (Hemophilia is usually an inherited bleeding disorder in which the blood does not clot properly. This can lead to spontaneous bleeding as well as bleeding following injuries or surgery. Blood contains many proteins called clotting factors that can help to stop bleeding. People with hemophilia have low levels of either factor VIII (8) or factor IX (9). The severity of hemophilia that a person has is determined by the amount of factor in the blood. The lower the amount of the factor, the more likely it is that bleeding will occur which can lead to serious health problems.)
this disease stripped my cousin from his childhood every time he plays like any other child he ends up in the hospital with swollen knee, hand, face, etc.. to get a shot to help him heal from the injury. And the injury will happen because of the disease not necessarily a fall or hit so by just running around he gets internal bleedings that will lead to swelling or immobility.
The current shots he takes when he goes to the hospital are only to help him momentarily and heal his injury, but the hemlibra will allow him to play like any other kid without having to go to the hospital every time he plays.
how does the hemlibra work :
Hemlibra is the injection and it costs around 15k per injection, he’s expected to get 8 injections the first month, then 4 injections a month for the following 5 months, and after that 2 injections per month.
My uncle is a police officer in Jordan, single dad with 5 kids his salary is around $800 a month half goes for rent and the rest goes for hydro, electricity, bills, school etc.. I tried to set up the donation to go to him directly but it wouldn’t allow me so the donations will be transferred to him by me through w.u or moneygram or a bank transfer, I’ve tried reaching out to the hemophilia organization in Canada they told me that the hemlibra injections Is not included in the insurance plans but they’re working on it so hopefully by the time the medication gets approved within the healthcare I’ll be able to bring him here so he can have a better life. Also in Jordan it’s not included insurance don’t cover it because it super expensive, I’ve got doctor notes and paperwork that I can provide for my cousins diagnosis that I can send them via email contact me at [email redacted] to answer any of your questions and to provide you with the information that may concern you.
your donation will make a difference in his life either by donating money or by praying for him.
