Maes & Ilya's Great Escape

We're getting married!

Maes "Inkweaver" David and Ilya McClellan, the Pretentious are getting hitched on the 27th of April, 2025, and then in late May or in July (because that's when tickets are cheapest) we're headed off to start our lives anew in Berlin with a close friend of ours who's opened her flat to us.

After five years of dating and moving in, we've decided we're pretty sure we're in this for the long haul, and we're taking advantage of the financial opportunities the international institution of beweddidness offers.

This is not a safe place for people like Ilya, and Maes is disabled and lacking any kind of support network, so if anything happens to Ilya, Maes is kind of up the creek without a paddle. So we're taking ourselves and our cats elsewhere, where the political winds around trans folk are less heated.

Anyone who wishes to help kickstart our journey or provide us with a degree of cushion for our landing-we're honored, and we appreciate you. If you can't, we understand the world we live in and we appreciate you anyways.
