Ilya Koloyartsev tragedy

Our tragic loss
Our family recently lost our beloved Ilya in a car accident. On June 10th, an overwhelmingly tragic day: Ilya's young life was cut short suddenly. He was driving to pick up his son, Frankie, from a weekend with grandma, when he lost control of his car and crashed. He was 27 years old.

Ilya
Ilya had a creative talent for writing and singing songs, playing his guitar very well. His songs touched many people.

Ilya had a passionate heart. He loved intensely whom he liked and what he liked, and he was quick in forgiving himself and others. He never resented anyone or anything.

Ilya had a job that he was very proud of with Christian Hinrichs. He was a carpenter.

Ilya's son, Frankie
Ilya has left a 3 year old son Frankie, sweet little boy who misses his daddy every day. He was an amazing father and Frankie looked up to him; Ilya was his son’s hero, his son’s everything; he wanted nothing but the best for his only child.

He had a full custody of his son. Without the presence and support of his dad, we will need all the help we can get to take care of him from now on.

Our family is now reaching out to our friends and the community
Our goal as a family is to raise money with the help of our friends and the community to cover funeral expenses, tombstone and childcare for 3 year old Frankie whilst we're figuring out how to go forward.

No amount is too little...anything you can donate will be an incredible help.

Thank you.

From a recent message from Ilya:

“Breathe. Breathe deep, listen to music, close your eyes. Try to quiet your mind. You are not obligated to figure anything out right now. Just relax and start with one thing at a time when you’re ready. Everything is ok. Everything will happen as it’s supposed to. Everything is exactly as it’s supposed to be. Nothing is really in our control. That’s an illusion. Take a chance, eat the cake, live. Life is short”.
