Hayden Kocourek  was a normal healthy 15 year old who enjoyed riding his bicycle around Mancos and playing basketball for Mancos High School, until he was hospitalized December 7, 2014. He is an active
4-H member in Montezuma County and has been since he was 7 years old. Over the weekend Hayden became ill and was hospitalized, he has since been diagnosed with Kidney Failure and has been taken to Children's Hospital in Denver and is in need of a kidney transplant. This isn't the first devastating medical condition that this family has suffered this year. Over the summer Hayden's mom was also diagnosed with breast cancer and his father lost his job. Jen, Hayden's mom is employed as an RN but with her medical condition and now this she has had to take a substantial amount of time off from work for her health issues and now to go to Denver to care for her child.
