My name is Fardowsa, I’m a 22 yo Somali immigrant and student filmmaker currently developing my first feature-length psychological thriller, I.L.U. 898. I’m in my final year of university, but due to lack of financial support, I risk being forced out of the country without your much needed help.

I come from a family of 21 siblings and a single mother. I took asylum from Kenya to Norway when I was young, and I chose to further my education in New York against all odds. However, I was refused sufficient loan money from the Norwegian Government, and as an international student, I’m unable to legally work in the states to support myself.

I’ve always dreamt of making a new life for myself where I can create something to call my own- and I’ve worked endlessly to make that happen. I’m so proud to bring this project to fruition, but I need your help. All donations will go directly towards my schooling and the film. Let's make the impossible possible.
