A Semester of Education in a Week!
Hi, I’m Iltimas Doha, and I’m looking to quickly find emergency tuition assistance that is due by February 4th!
I am currently a Junior as a Design and Technology student at Parsons the New School for Design. I am former Student Resident at Eyebeam, a nonprofit studio and residency program. I have taught creative coding for youth for over 5 years and have been invited as a keynote speaker for Emoti-Con, a showcase for youth in digital media and technology programs. My focus is in becoming a Citizen Technologist and design for the public to fight systems of oppression and fight for social justice. Currently, I am also taking classes at Cornell-Tech building a startup and an app that connects hate speech experts with concerned citizens to combat hateful content on Twitter.
So much of my success has been due to institutional support, namely at Parsons, where I am able to connect with peers and professors to grow my practice.
Unfortunately, my parent who is my main source of financing my education, has been fighting with the aftermath of heart complications. It has come to our attention that we will be unable to finance this semester's worth of tuition. With Parsons add/drop period for classes ending in a week, I am scrambling to find the funds.
