Hello and thank you so so much for taking the time to read this.
It is with a heavy heart that I announce that my dog Dory has been diagnosed with a squamous cell carcinoma.
The tumor is located on the left ventral side of her throat and could be metetastasized to her tonsils or lymph nodes. We have already done bloodwork, an ultrasound and a cytology panel costing around $800 total to arrive at this diognostic.
I have called to schedule an oncology appointment with MVMC in Scarborough Maine and will be keeping this post update with further news as we progress.
Dory is a nervous cattle dog and weimaraner mix, she is around 8 years old and has been with me for 7. She's been my store dog at the Fish and Bone pet store in downtown Portland since 2017 and has crept into the hearts of minds of many who have made their journey to the store.
