For those of you who know Ilona Brusil and for those of you who are just hearing her name for the first time, she is a very proud and hard working attorney. However, during covid she had fallen on some hard times, and now with this devastating and catastrophic blow of losing all of her possessions in a house fire, I decided to start this go fund me page for her, an old family friend and colleague.
She lives with and cares for her aging parents. Her 94 year old mom heroically sustained 2nd degree burns by saving one of their dogs. Sadly, their other loved and cherished dog died in the fire. Their car burned down, and their computers, tv, tables, chairs, clothes and shoes, plus all of their worldly possessions are lost!
This happened in the middle of the night on December 26th. I cannot imagine a worse way to end Christmas and start the new year. Any donations are welcome and would be greatly appreciated! Please, if you have anything extra to give (even just a few dollars) it would help. Thank you so much for reading, and please share with others if you can.
They’re in temporary housing at the moment luckily, so, donations will help with;
- Immediate needs, such as; clothing, shoes and personal items (500+?). Extending her car rental until insurance covers the burned one (500-?), so she can find a new house and continue caring for her parents. Professional tools needed to replace her WFH office, like: a scanner, work phone and better computer (up to 3000+). Also, the time it takes to deal with getting new housing, buying things and feeling the sadness is obviously taking away from working, so there that too.
- Medium term needs, such as; ALL furniture, tv, cooking utensils, speakers, music device, just EVERYTHING… (up to $10,000).
