COVID-19 has shutdown Illuminate Spa & Boutique
Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Naomi Wilkinson I am a new momma, Massage Therapist and Esthetician at our business Illuminate Spa. My husband Sean is a new daddy, Barber in Cayucos and a friend to many...
Our business Illuminate Spa is a sanctuary of loving and healing energy. We host a workspace for several other amazing therapists that are also out of work due to our mandated shut down. They too rely on Illuminate Spa being open to pay their bills.
We are reaching out with open minds and hopeful hearts that we may be able to raise some money to help keep our family business alive, food in our bellies and a roof over our heads. We are both in the "hands on industry" and because of the COVID-19 pandemic were mandated to close our businesses on 3/15/2020. We have applied for every form of government funding or grants available and have been denied every time. We also have not been able to collect unemployment due to the fact that we are independent contractors.
With the stress of our debt mounting along with recent medical bills from the birth of our 6 month old daughter Opal, we are not sure if we will be able to keep our doors open. We have no idea how long this mandated shut down will last and we count on the revenue from spring as we just got through our "slow" winter season. We have pushed this off as long as we can but the Governor has now moved this back another 2 weeks at least and we have no idea when we may be actually able to work again.
Your kind contribution of any amount will create a ripple effect that will not be forgotten. It will be used to pay the ongoing business expenses. Illuminate spa has been a dream of mine since I was 17 years old. I have studied, trained and worked my entire adult life to create this blissful place that creates space for healing. I would be devastated to lose it.
We thank you for taking the time to read our story. Anything you can do is greatly appreciated.
With love and gratitude,
Naomi, Sean & Opal Wilkinson
