Hey y’all hey!

If you’re here, you’re likely here from my socials and have been following my experience with illness. So I received a diagnosis of functional neurologic disorder after being hospitalized. This means that although there is no structural abnormality present, the hardwire is malfunctioning. The brain isn’t sending and receiving signals efficiently which requires significantly more mental and physical effort on my part. This has been very hard on my body as I’ve been in physical burnout and exhaust over the past month making my day to day life more difficult. Manifesting as involuntary movements (myoclonic jerks), extreme fatigue, inflammation, brain fog, dizziness, nausea, weakness in extremities that can impair my walking. I will say that I had positive autoimmune markers that could come to light in the future of a different diagnosis or co-occurring conditions.

I don’t really know what I want to become of this but I will be proactive in saying I can’t do it all by myself right now. I will be off of work until next month so that I can rest and heal appropriately. I will be doing outpatient visits with neurology, neuropsych, physical rehabilitation, AND rheumatology. I don’t know how much my rehab visits will cost or other follow ups even with insurance but for now I have tangible costs that will be accumulating.

Monthly Bills:
-Gas $23
-Power $42
-Car $131
-Car Insurance $150
-Food (continuous)
-Phone $50

Medical:
-Hospital stay $500
-Brain scans I had in March to make sure I wasn’t having an aneurysm $1200

Transportation:
-Tank of Gas $65
-Uber Chargers ($$)

I’m not a praying person yall…if we want to phrase it differently I think action is prayer manifested..with that being said…I got bills and medical things that I’ll have to keep going to. Potentially having to Uber if I can’t drive that far. So…prayer warriors, I beg of you, tangible help to relieve the stress I am under. That is the greatest blessing you can offer at this time.

If you would like to pay a bill specifically you can let me know that and I’m happy to provide some form of confirmation of its payment.

I’ve been leaning into the community I have here and Chicago and although the roots are still budding they’ve been absolutely wonderful. I’m prone to isolation and this is also me fighting against that. I welcome messages and all forms of communication at this time. Words of encouragement and care mean a lot and I will respond at my capacity of course. I shared some photos here to represent my current ‘normal’ from mobility aids to bland eating.

Thank ya’ll in advance. ✨
