Illness and mounting medical bills

Let me preface this by saying I've never had any major medical issues up until about 2 years ago.

At that time, I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. It took a fair amount of time to get the meds right and now it seems to be somewhat stable. About a year later I

was diagnosed with colon cancer. That is what killed both my grandparents on my mother's side as well as my dad. In the meantime I've started getting migraine headaches

which ibuprophen seems to help with as long as I catch it early.

So, medical insurance has paid a good portion of what was starting to grow large in bills, but it just wasn't enough. I've had to ignore bills such as rent, my phone service,

car insurance, among other misc things. I was prepared and ready to start working again early this month, but was laid off on the 10th. In other words, I have no money

and cashed in all my stocks just to stay afloat.

Bottom line is I'm in the hole about $5,000 when I add everything up. I am looking for handouts, there is no sugar-coating it. I'm in a dark place.

If you can find it in your heart, please help me out. I've never been one to ask for help in the past, but now seems like the proper time.
