Illiyah Edwards is a 24 year old from Florence, SC who received her BA from Spelman College (Atlanta, GA) and BSN from Duke University (Durham, NC). She is currently pursuing her Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Degree from Duke University. Illiyah has participated in pageantry since the age of 5. She has competed at local levels and state levels. She currently works as a Full Time Nurse, Serves on endless committees within the community of NC and SC, and is a proud advocate for women’s rights, and Black Lives. Illiyah is the founder of Inspire Everyone Inc. an annual scholarship fund for her high school alma mater which is for students attending HBCUs!

Illiyah is honored to be Miss Durham USA 2022 and is committed to giving her all for the run of Miss NC USA 2022.
