Illini Motorsports - FSAE Michigan Travel Costs

For over 40 years, Illini Motorsports has provided thousands of students with the opportunity to develop themselves as engineers through the process of designing, manufacturing, testing, and racing a formula-style car against teams around the nation and globe. This year has been one of particular growth for the team due to the ambitious design changes within the suspension and chassis subsystems to accommodate a switch from 13in to 10in rims. While this change has proved challenging, the team is making strong progress towards what we hope will be our fastest racecar ever!

 

As we prepare for our competition, FSAE Michigan, we are working to raise money to pay for the many necessary costs, such as hotels, vehicle rentals, tires, tools, and the many other small purchases that add up. Due to unforeseen circumstances, our team has received less support than anticipated, leaving us incapable of affording competition without extra support. As a group of students, our financial capabilities are limited, but thanks to the help of loyal sponsors and supporters, our dreams of developing fast racecars and brilliant engineers have been kept alive throughout the years.
