Hi everyone! This summer I will be cycling 4500 miles (7250 km) from New York to San Francisco to raise money for cancer research and patient support services.
Illini 4000 is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing awareness, raising funds, and documenting the American cancer experience. As we cycle across the country, we will be documenting individuals’ stories through The Portraits Project. The Portraits Project is a compilation of stories of cancer survivors, caretakers, and family members of patients that documents their cancer experiences and foster's strength in the face of hardship.
I am personally trying to raise $10,000 and I would really appreciate any help in reaching this fundraising goal. Any contribution that you can provide, no matter the size, will help make a positive difference. As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, all donations made to Illini 4000 are tax deductible. 100% of the donations go to the beneficiaries listed below.
You can find out more about Illini 4000 at https://www.illini4000.org/ and you can follow my training progress and the ride itself (once we start in May) on my Strava https://www.strava.com/athletes/vmubayi.
