In loving remembrance of ILIE Merticariu

On Tuesday, November 19th, 2024, we sadly lost a cherished man, Ilie, whose life was filled with energy, warmth, and a passion for bringing people together. He was a man who loved to socialize, form lasting friendships, and share the things he loved most: football, traditional music, and his deep-rooted pride in his country. Ilie was also an avid player of chess and backgammon, and these simple joys brought him closer to those he loved.

Ilie was a devoted grandfather to two nephews, a father to three daughters, and a beloved husband. His family—his wife, children, and grandchildren—are heartbroken by his loss and will forever remember his love, laughter, and guidance.

As a family, we wish to honor Ilie’s memory by bringing him home to Constanța, where he spent over 50 years of his life. It was here that he built a life, a community, and a legacy that will never be forgotten.

In this difficult time, we ask for your support in helping us fulfill his final wishes by repatriating him to Romania. The funds will also help with funeral expenses, ensuring he is laid to rest with the dignity and respect he deserves.

Ilie was more than a family member; he was a source of strength and joy for all who knew him. Now, as he leaves us, we come together to support his grieving family and keep his memory alive.
