Hi, my name is Evelia Uc. I am 17 years old and I’m the only daughter to Iliana Magaña. My mom passed away on thanksgiving night. She was a teen mom, she was so young. She died at only 33 years of age. She had a bright future ahead of her. She had goals and ambitions of her own. But only God knows what he had planned for her. My mom used to be the brightest soul you ever met. She worked at a bakery for years, she always loved giving away food or money, anything she could do to help the homeless. Anybody that ever met her knew she was always with a smile on her face, always put others happiness before hers. She was known by a lot of people. She was a single mother, worked more than even she could. There’s times she worked 2 jobs, one after the other for days out of the week. It was only her and I. We lived on our own for years, only her and I know the things we had to endure. She was a strong woman. And now she’s gone. She’s left behind her parents, her siblings, nieces and nephews, me.. She’s gone but she will forever live in our hearts. Any amount you guys can donate will go for her funeral and memorial. Anything is truly appreciated! Thank you!

Murió con solo 33 años de edad. Tenía un futuro brillante por delante. Tenía metas y ambiciones propias. Pero solo Dios sabe lo que tenía planeado para ella. Mi mamá solía ser el alma más brillante que jamás hayas conocido. Trabajó en una panadería durante años, siempre le encantó regalar comida o dinero, cualquier cosa que pudiera hacer para ayudar a las personas sin hogar. Cualquiera que la haya conocido sabía que siempre estaba con una sonrisa en su rostro, siempre anteponía la felicidad de los demás a la suya. Era conocida por mucha gente. Era madre soltera, trabajaba más de lo que podía. Hay momentos en que ella trabajó en 2 trabajos, uno tras otro durante días de la semana. Solo éramos ella y yo. Vivimos solas durante años, solo ella y yo sabemos las cosas que tuvimos que soportar. Ella era una mujer fuerte. Y ahora ella se ha ido. Ella ha dejado atrás a sus padres, sus hermanos, sobrinas y sobrinos, yo... Se ha ido pero vivirá para siempre en nuestros corazones.
