Iley's Study Abroad in China

Hi I'm Iley and I want to study Mandarin abroad in China. I am a hardworking student born and raised in Queens, New York by a single mother. I am passionate about arts and academics, especially math and language. Studying Mandarin has provided me with a broader perspective on people and the way they live. I realize I have just reached the tip of the iceberg!

I have applied to study in a language immersion program abroad over the summer through the CIEE Global Navigator High School Study Abroad Program. This opportunity is extremely important to me because, besides the education, it is a chance develop my independence as a young woman. Studying abroad for college is something I am very interested in, so this program can give me some insight on the experience.

The program has offered a scholarship to travel to Shanghai covering a third of the cost. I need help with the remaining tuition and flight costs.

I believe my academic merit, my hardworking ability, and my commitment to discovery has earned me this opportunity. Please assist me by donating toward my education.
