A devastating storm hit parts of Southern and Central Illinois this past week, leaving four people dead and many homes destroyed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the people in the affected areas during this trying time. We at the Comptroller’s Office feel it’s our duty to help these areas of Illinois recover. We are starting this fund to give to the town of Crossville, Ill., which had 11 homes destroyed. We hope to raise $1,000 for each of the eleven families whose homes were severely damaged during the tornado. This money will be transferred into a fund for the Village of Crossville that has been set up specifically for these families. We hope you join our office in supporting the residents of Crossville, Ill.
