Ciao, mi chiamo Sonia e sto raccogliendo fondi per realizzare il sogno di un mio caro amico che ci ha lasciato da poco.

Carlo era una persona speciale: amico, maestro e allenatore che ha formato tantissimi giovani nuotatori con passione, rigore e grande cuore. Oggi vogliamo raccogliere il suo lascito più importante: sostenere il futuro di suo figlio Matteo, laureato in USA in ingegneria meccanica fruendo di borse di studio per meriti sportivi e scolastici.

Matteo ha poi applicato ed è stato ammesso, al Master in Mechanical Engineering per specializzarsi in Fluido-Dinamica, presso l'Università dell' Iowa - ME Graduate Program and Degrees | College of Engineering - The University of Iowa - che ammette ai suoi master solo il 25% dei richiedenti.

Per Carlo questa ammissione ha rappresentato motivo di grande gioia e orgoglio ma anche, quando la sua situazione si è complicata, di preoccupazione sulla sostenibilità del corso.

Per Matteo rappresenta un’opportunità straordinaria per crescere professionalmente e onorare la memoria di Carlo.

Per questo abbiamo aperto questa raccolta fondi dedicata a Carlo: l’obiettivo è dare a Matteo la possibilità di continuare il percorso che suo padre ha contribuito a costruire, e sostenerlo quindi con il cuore e con gesti concreti.

Il nostro è un obiettivo ambizioso: coprire almeno parte della quota d’iscrizione di quest'anno.

Ogni contributo, piccolo o grande, farà la differenza. E se riuscissimo a superare l'obiettivo, Matteo potrà coprire tutto l'anno e avere anche una supporto per l'iscrizione del prossimo anno. Sarebbe fantastico, e lui potrà lavorare per pagare vitto e alloggio.

Hello, my name is Sonia and I am fundraising to make the dream of a dear friend of mine, who recently passed away, come true.

Carlo was a special person: a friend, teacher, and coach who trained so many young swimmers with passion, discipline, and a big heart. Today we want to gather his most important legacy: supporting the future of his son Matteo, who graduated in the USA in mechanical engineering thanks to scholarships earned through athletic and academic merit.

Matteo applied and was accepted into the Master's program in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Fluid Dynamics, at the University of Iowa, which only admits 25% of applicants to its master's programs.

For Carlo, this was a source of great joy and pride, but also, once his health condition became more complicated, a source of worry about how to afford the program.

For Matteo, this represents an extraordinary opportunity to grow professionally and to honor Carlo's memory.

That's why we've started this fundraiser dedicated to Carlo: the goal is to give Matteo the chance to continue the path his father helped build, and to support him with both our hearts and concrete actions.

Our goal is an ambitious one: to cover at least part of this year's tuition fee.

Every contribution, big or small, will make a difference. And if we manage to exceed the goal, Matteo could also get support for this year and toward next year's tuition. That would be wonderful, and he'll be able to work to cover room and board.
