IKO World Cup Chile - Support VKKA Australian Team

The Matsushima Kyokushin Karate World Cup is in Santiago, Chile on 9th & 10th Of December.

Matsushima Kyokushin Australia and the Victorian Kyokushin Karate Association have 9 fighters, a coach and 4 officials representing us.

It has always been our policy to financially support those who are representing us and in past years we have fully funded competitors' airfares as we believe a competitor should concentrate on training for the event and not have to worry about how they were going to get there.

Also, by funding them they know that they are truly representing us all.

The airfares to Chile are much more that if we were going to Europe and whilst the Branch has done all it can to raise funds, we are still short.

So, we are asking anyone who would like to support these people to help us. To represent Australia is truly an honour and I know the chosen representatives will do well.

The Branch has already run many fund-raising events and I know people have supported them fully. We are not asking those people to do any more. BUT there may be other people who might want to support this team.

BTW, there are 5 females in this team.

Any support at all will be most welcome. We send a team away every 2 years and Australia is always recognised as a very strong team.

With your help this year could see our fighters on the podium. In previous events we have had 2 World Champions (Asian Pacific) and a 3rd Place Open Heavyweight (twice).

This year I am hopeful that we will achieve even better results BUT we need to get them there.
