The Houston Justice Coalition is a grassroots, millennial led organization aiming to rid Houston of police brutality, balance the unfair grand jury system, and encourage a culture of community policing via town halls and community inclusion, peaceful protests/demonstrations, and progressive political action.
Since bursting on the scene a few weeks ago, HCJ has had a phenomenal impact on the Houston metropolitan area.
We organized 400 people to a town hall and walked away with 80 minority applicants for grand jury duty! In 2 weeks, we've signed up over 150 new applicants!
We marched down to Houston City Hall last Tuesday and demanded city leaders to begin to work with us on a comprehensive body camera program for Houston Police Officers, to be implemented in 2015!
We feel a moral obligation to fight this battle of equality and justice for all!
In order to continue this fight more effectively in 2015 and beyond, we need your financial activism!
No amount is too small. No amount is too large. Give what you can.
This millenial led movement is all about making Houston and America live up to its promise of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all Americans!
