Igor's Spinal Surgery and Recovery

Donation protected
My husband has had tingling in his hands for a few months, which has only gotten worse over time to where there isn’t much feeling, and his fingers are mostly numb. He went through many tests, which showed congenital stenosis in his C3 and C4 vertebrae, and it’s causing softening in his spinal cord. Basically, he was born with a condition (with zero way to detect it beforehand) that causes the canal in the vertebrae to narrow in his neck, squeezing his spinal cord. Bone spurs have also developed in the canal and are digging into the cord. To correct this, he needs spinal surgery.

The surgery will involve a laminectomy on the C3 and C4 to relieve the pressure, followed by fusing the C3 through C5 together. There is also no guarantee that he will feel normal in his hands again. (However this is much better than the alternative, where without the surgery, paralysis is almost guaranteed.)

Your donations will help us to pay for what insurance doesn't cover for his surgery, and will help us with during the weeks of recovery to follow.

Big or small, your donations are greatly appreciated.
