On October 18th, 2018, at around 1 o’clock in the afternoon our father, Igor Zbyshko at the age of 56, experienced a very massive stroke to his brain stem. He was immediately airlifted to the nearest hospital in Marysville, then later that day transferred to Mercy San Juan, where they have a stroke facility and neurosurgeons on site. By that time, he had two CT scans taken of his brain. The family were all informed by the neurologist that this was a very massive stroke, which caused the brain to fill with blood and destroy the connection from the brain to the body. The following day the neurologists took two different tests checking for brain activity but he was unresponsive to neither. He was confirmed brain dead but his heart was still beating strong. God showed our family mercy and gifted us three more days to continue to pray for a miracle. After all of the many prayers from our families, friends, and churches we received peace to let him go. On October 22nd, in the afternoon we were all informed by the neurologist, that we only have until 5 pm to let him go in peace. Before they even had the chance to take out the breathing tubes, our God almighty had taken our beloved father to heaven.

He was loved by his wife, children, grandchildren, relatives, and friends very much. He will be remembered always and forever!
