Ignorant Creatures Short Film

This is a story that has not been told before. Non-Binary people are an extremely marginalized group that have little to no representation in film or media, we hope to change that. 

Ignorant Creatures is about a Non-Binary person's struggle with being outed at work and finding ways to cope. The film intertwines between contrasting scenes of comfort at the home, and conflict at the workplace. Making this film is more than just making a piece of art, it's about creating commentary on the issues trans and non-binary people face. 

The impact of your donation may greatly influence the lives of those who do not have much representation in film. For that, we are grateful for your contribution. With this niche subject of film, any amount is greatly appreciated. 

Below, our team and I spoke about the film and some of the personal issues we and that marginalized groups like non-binary and female identified people face.



The Details

The budget for Ignorant Creatures has been thoughtfully worked out, (hence the specific amount). Every bit of our budget will go to production and post production, cast, and crew, marketing and distribution. The specific numbers for this budget have been outlined below.  Any additional funds we raise will go to post production and advertising.

Our cast has been selected and our locations confirmed. Our crew is being finalized, and we are set to film on the 17th and 18th of August in and around the Seattle area. We have taken the time to consider who our characters are, why they are significant, and how they act between one another. We have taken the time to consider the style of our film, what colors are important, why the lighting matters, and why our shots are captured in each specific way. We have considered post production and what our audio will sound like,  where our cuts will be, and we have even finalized how the pacing will feel. 

This film is ready to be shot. We would love your help to ensure our cast and crew are paid and fed, and Ignorant Creatures can have a successful release. Please consider donating to this film, and thank you for reading.
