The 10th Annual QueerBomb

Thank you, one and all!!! QueerBomb 2019 photos will be posted at https://www.facebook.com/QBATX

* QUEERBOMB NEEDS YOUR DONATION *

DON'T PANIC!!!  Does the amount that we have raised seem low compared to what we are shooting for?  That is because part of our bills can be paid afterwards with money that we raise at the event, and some QueerBomb donations are "in-kind" donations where people provide free or discounted services and goods as opposed to cash donations.

QueerBomb will happen at Fair Market on June 1, 2019, regardless of the amount of money we are able to raise in advance!!!  That said, making your donation today will help ensure that we have the cash on hand to pay for what we need before the event.  Please remember, if you can donate or provide a discounted rate for any of the following services that is as good as donating cash!!!

Can you donate for free or otherwise provide a discounted rate for any of the following?

WHAT IS QUEERBOMB?

Every year on the first Saturday in June, downtown Austin explodes with QUEERBOMB - a free, radical celebration of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, and ally (LGBTQIA+) community, deep in the heart of Texas.

During National Pride Month, QueerBomb embodies the courageousness of Stonewall and challenges corporate, heteronormative Gay Pride festivals.

You'll be inspired by local LGBTQIA+ speakers at the Rally. Then, join 5,000 of your queer siblings as we march in raucous procession down Dirty Sixth and back to Fair Market, where we will dance and celebrate together.

Your 10th annual QueerBomb goes off on Saturday, June 1, 2019, at Fair Market, 1100 E. 5th St., Austin, TX.

IT'S FREE BUT IT AIN'T CHEAP

Each year, QueerBomb grows in size, strength, and passion. However, as the crowds have grown, so have the costs. Each year we face increased fees from vendors and the City and require greater resources to meet the needs of our ever-evolving communities.

With your help, we can meet the substantial financial challenges of maintaining QueerBomb as a free, all-inclusive, all-ages, corporate-free, and sponsorship-free event.

In order to put on this year's TENTH-ANNUAL QUEERBOMB, we need YOU!

$5, $50, or $500 - Please donate what you can and ask your friends to donate, too!

Your much needed donations will go toward:

-City fees and permits.

-Austin Police Department fees.

-Rental Fees for the space.

-Insurance for the entire event.

-Tables for all nonprofit Outreach.

-Sound System and Lighting.

-Press/posters, flyers, materials.

-Wristbands for all underage participants.

This is YOUR celebration. This is YOUR community.

YOU are QUEERBOMB!

Let’s light this fuse together once again! Donate now!

THE QUEERBOMB MANIFESTO

QueerBomb is a family of LGBTQIA individuals gathering to support our unique and collective pride. Our purpose is to provide a space to celebrate each and every member of our community and encourage all to embrace the manifold ways we contribute to building a beautiful and diverse society. We look to the traditions of our queer radical past, embodied in the struggles of our ongoing fight for equal justice and the right to express ourselves in whatever way we see fit.

Each June, the month of Stonewall, we stand forth to embrace our sexuality, bodies, personalities, art, music, literature and politics. We are reclaiming the radical, carnal, and transgressive lineage of our ever-changing community to capture a meaning of pride that refuses to put rules on what you can and can’t be proud of. QueerBomb does not apologize, QueerBomb does not make excuses. QueerBomb stands proud, and so should you.
