Igiugig School Cultural Trip AZ

We are a small school in rural Alaska. We are raising money to go on a trip to Arizona and have a cultural exchange with a couple of schools. We are going to check out the Northern Arizona University, Arizona Science Center, the Grand Canyon, go bird watching, and have a  cultural exchance with Arizonans.  The money will be used for flights, rental vans, and trip activities. We are planning the trip to be in mid April, 2017. This trip is important to us because our community and school realize the power of learning about new places, new cultures, and feeling the hot sun on our skin in the desert.  So far we have raised $16,669. Our total trip exenditure  will be $29,873.   We will fundraise $7200 through student government activities, and are hoping to raise $6000 through GoFundMe. The cost to travel in Alaska is extremely high. Just to get our school to Anchorage and back is $11,480.
