Iggy's New Home:
As many of you know, living in the city poses many challenges to our wonderful but sensitive and aggressive dog Iggy Pup. It's been a difficult decision to come to terms with, but we've finally decided to give her a better quality of life at the Spirit Animal Sanctuary in Boonville, NY. At Spirit, she'll have a much more comfortable and stress-free life. A donation to her new lifestyle would support the following:
- Access to big outdoor space to run around in 24/7
- Food and Medical
- A warm, cozy, and loving place to live
- Training to make new dog friends at the sanctuary
She can live a very high quality life there forever, but the cost is steep, and that's why we're reaching out to you.

We love Iggy for her endless energy and incredible loyalty, but these endearing traits pose a unique problem in our small Brooklyn apartment, and on crowded Brooklyn streets. Iggy's fear aggression and unpredictable moods are magnified ten-fold in the stressful city environment. She is prone to attacking animals or people that she believes to be a a threat to us. In the past, this has included friends and family. Most recently, she attacked our cat, which could have resulted in very serious injury or death if she hadn't been wearing her muzzle. As such, we have growing concerns for the children and pets in our neighborhood, as well as our own emotional health.
We have worked extensively with Iggy to control her behavior but just like a human, there are some things we can't change. We do not want to put her down. She is a beautiful, loving dog who is full of life and has many good years ahead of her. It would be impossible to re-home her with other people due to her complicated and sensitive personality. Believe me, we've tried!
