Blazon Fire Damage Recovery Fund

Donation protected
Hello friends and family,

We have set up an emergency account to help Alice & Bill Blazon get through this tragedy that they are now facing. On December 7th, they recieved word that their house was on fire. As they drove from Firestone to Longmont, you can only imagine what was going through their minds. They hoped and prayed that they didn't drive up to an unrecognizable house. This is the house they have lived in for 17 years. They were proud of their house, all three of their daughters have lived there and the walls of that home, hold thousands of memories.

As they ran to the house, they were held back by the firemen that surrounded them. They wouldn't be allowed to go inside for hours and Alice stood outside crying about her pictures and the Christmas gifts she had already bought for her eight grandchildren.

It wasn't until hours passed that they were able to peak inside and see the damage. The fire department had to get in the house by kicking the front door open. The black smoke was below their waists when they entered. The fire had started behind their stove and it was so hot, that the glass (drinking glasses), had actually melted into the counter. There is no longer a kitchen ceiling. The Christmas tree on the opposite wall of the kitchen was covered in drywall from the ceiling and you can barely see the brightly wrapped Christmas presents that sit under the debris. The new wood floors that Bill and his father installed themselves a few years ago are burned and warped, which is how you can pretty much describe the rest of the house. The smoke damage is horrible.

Alice and Bill will be out of their house for at least a month while the house is torn apart from the inside, rebuilt and cleaned.

If you know Alice and Bill, you know that they are wonderful people. You can always find them at the sporting events of their grandchildren and you can always count on them to help you in a time of need.

The holidays are a busy time for everyone and can be extremely hard also. We are asking friends and family to help them get through this time of need and make this situation a little less tragic for them. If you can't donate, they would still appreciate your love, support and prayers!

Thank You!
