Hello everyone! As I write this, I can't help but be overcome with so much emotion. I want to begin by thanking you all in advance for taking time out to hear my story.
Although I usually remain private about my personal life matters, I felt compelled to reach out and share some sensitive information about what I'm dealing with in my health and the trials my husband and I are enduring through this difficult time. I'm in need of all of your help and prayers and also hope my story will inspire others.
My name is Kristina and I have been with my High school sweetheart, Sean, for 14 years now. Throughout all of this time, we have shared the interest of blossoming our love through marriage, which we've achieved, as well as our hopes of growing our family with having children. Unfortunately, we have yet to be blessed with conceiving children, due to some serious health issues I've been struggling with. We've made efforts, but after our first 3 years of being together and no pregnancies, doctor's tried to figure out what the issues were but without any luck, we kept being told, "Everything looks good" but the overwhelming pain and heavy cycles told us otherwise. We finally went to see a fertility specialist and found out that I had stage 4 endometriosis, large cysts on both ovaries, polyps and needed surgery right away. Of course this news was devastating! After waking up from surgery my doctor mentioned that he's never really seen a case as bad as mine, and that my chances of conceiving were about 40%. He continued by saying that if I ever wanted children, I only had less than two years to do so.
Although it's been fun trying, here we are almost 10 years later, and still no baby. We've tried every method and given every effort, from surgeries, ovulation kits, calendars and charts, pills, all types of herbs, teas, drinks, acupuncture, different positions, meditation and I've even recently transitioned to a Vegan diet... we've even tried "not trying". You name it, we've done it but to no avail! I know we're not supposed to question God but after watching many women achieve conception and carry out healthy pregnancies (most without even trying nor deserving), it has become discouraging and weighs on my faith in receiving the awesome blessing of conceiving children of my own.
I'm sharing this, in what could be one of my last efforts in fulfilling my wishes of conceiving. Within a couple weeks, I have to go through another surgery and my doctor recommends I strongly consider IVF immediately afterwards! As some of you know, this procedure is VERY expensive and isn't covered through insurance. It's very difficult to find the courage to ask for help. Lord knows my husband and I have done everything we could do as a couple, but this situation is now beyond our means. People often ask us, "When are you going to have a baby?", and excitedly anticipate the time when we'll be able to share the news of such a blessing...Well, this is a time when we're reaching out to all those family members, friends and loved ones to help make that desire a real possibility for us. We're asking that if you're able to contribute any financial endowment to help fund the procedure of IVF, we would be immensely grateful to receive your support with a humble heart of praise. No amount is too small!!Even if you aren't financially able to donate, we request your prayers and support by sharing my link!
