06/25/2022 Update: May peace be upon you. We have completed the burial of our brother/son Iftikhar Vaid yesterday, June 24, 2022. Here are some words of appreciation from our family:

"We would like share our gratitude to all of you have who have helped contribute to helping bury our beloved Iftikhar Vaid near home. We are beyond words and this message is simply an attempt in conveying our thankfulness. So many of you decided to patiently stand in the hot sun during a day of mourning, simply to show your support. Your love, support, and gratitude have moved us to tears. We understand many of you could not be there in person during these difficult times, nevertheless we appreciate you and your families for keeping Iftikhar in your du'a (supplication)" - Vaid Family


We ask if you are ever reminded of our family, please make a small supplication in remembrance of Iftikhar Vaid.

Death is sadly a part of this world where we cannot foresee. Money will come and go, but time spent cannot be undone. Please spend as much time with your family and friends as possible and remember to lift each other up.

06/23/2022 Update: Thank the Almighty above, we as a community have come together and continue to help raise funds in Iftikhar's name. Our family is more than grateful and brought to tears for all of the prayers, love, and support all of you have shown. We have now finalized the details of the funeral. Hi, my name is Issack Vaid, brother of Iftikhar Vaid. With a broken heart, I am setting up this fundraiser to help my family and me keep my deceased brother buried near home.

 

Iftikhar Vaid was 31 years old and about to turn 32 this year on October 6th. Iftikhar passed away on Saturday, June 18th, 2022. As of now, the cause of death is currently unknown.

Iftikhar was an incredibly compassionate person who always knew the right things to say to cheer someone up. He was the type of person who would start dancing around if he saw you in a gloomy mood just to see you smile. Iftikhar Vaid was at a point in his life where he was trying to turn his life around and make better decisions, but he was taken too soon.

 

We ask for help to fund his funeral near home so our parents can easily visit their son. Our request to raise $8,000 will cover mandatory costs such as opening and closing costs, mortuary fees, coroner release fees, and so on.
