Jaycel Bay is one of the most introspective and generous-hearted therapists I know. She needs your help for her dream: bringing IFS (Internal Family Systems therapy) to the Philippines. First step? Get official training to become her country's 1st IFS therapist.
For the first time, it's possible. That's because Jaycel has been offered a spot in an official IFS Institute Level 1 training! (With a wait list over 7000 people it's like winning the lottery!) But this chance is close to slipping away.
Jaycel can only become an IFS therapist if we help her raise tuition. Will you become a part of Jaycel's story? (Exchange rates are bonkers: IFS tuition of $3,990 exceeds average annual PHL salary.)

Jaycel is a remarkably determined and creative woman. She works as a school counselor helping children and adolescents. But before we get to IFS and work, let's get personal and meet Jaycel and her young family in the Philippines.
Baby Boy is treasure of this family of three. One day, he hits the milestone of crawling. Hooray! But ... in the single room Jaycel's family calls home, there is literally no floor space.
Their bold, unconventional solution?
Jaycel and her husband removed their mattress. To give their son enough space to develop, the entire family now squeeze themselves into the playpen to sleep.
This is the kind of loving dedication Jaycel brings to everything she does, particularly the field of therapy. It's the story she related to me with a soft smile when we met two years ago (only because I inquired re. the disassembled bed frame).
So how does IFS come into this?
When Jaycel discovered IFS therapy, it clicked. She was able to do a few online sessions, then work intensively with her own system.
Just three IFS sessions changed her life. In Jaycel's words:
"It just took one truth to get me out of my despair: somewhere deep, deep into my core, I have something no pain can touch (the Self). I am still me, and if I just allow my parts to become my friends again, I'll find my way to re-become who I really am, shamelessly. And maybe, just maybe, I can teach my son, and my people, this truth too."

"My dream is to bring IFS to the Filipino people.
"Every time I volunteer in small baranggays and communities, I see people whose lives could have been changed by IFS like mine was, if they just get access to it. But there are no therapists specializing in IFS in my city, even in the whole island I live on, and no IFS mental health providers in the entire Philippines.
"Imagine how much better our city can be if people weren't walking in the shadow of their burdens. Maybe parents will play with their children more, listen to their children more, maybe spouses will finally lay down their guards and trust each other when they try to talk about something.
"Maybe people who were afraid to be themselves will finally find the courage to. The world needs IFS."
And Jaycel needs us to become the Philippines' first IFS therapist. If you love the idea of IFS therapy spreading worldwide, consider sending a donation of $10, $20 or even $200+. Every dollar makes a difference.
